The Beginning

Migrating to the United States of America with his family from Bari, Italy in 1974, Joe Lepore knew right away that this was the country of opportunity. Not knowing the English language and with the limited resources as a new immigrant to the country, Lepore set intentions to do what he knew best, and that was to work hard day in and out and rely on his own instincts.

Working as District Manager for the Marriott Corporation, Lepore quickly began climbing the ladder and into management roles. During his triumph to a career, Lepore met Maria Losurdo and it was love as first sight, marrying only a few years after. They moved around NY State numerous times as part of his career building with Marriott – while now raising their first-born son, Daniel. After relocating, yet again, to Poughkeepsie, Joe decided he would take his chances and start his own business, which Maria yet again was supportive of and sacrificed much of her time with Joe during the building stages of the business. For many years at the startup of LCS, Maria played a behind the scenes role in keeping things on track – both in the business and at home – while Joe worked tirelessly to realize the Lepore family version of the “American Dream.” Through these years, Joe and Maria were also blessed by the arrival of two more sons, Joseph Jr., and Domenico – just to keep things interesting!

A Businessman Is Born

On September 12, 2001, the day after 9/11, one of the most tragic historical events to happen to the United States, to New York, Lepore was called to Ground Zero to assist with cleaning up demolition and debris. It was that day LCS Facility Group would be established.

LCS Facility Group began with nothing but a dream- no investors, no capital, and no financial support. Undoubtedly dedicated to his family and an inner drive to give them more, Lepore was determined to build an incredible business that both his family and community could rejoice in.

What started with a van and four (4) employees has grown into a family-owned organization that employs over 400 people and stretches across from New York, to California, to Texas offering a vast array of services from post-construction cleanup to janitorial services, to specialty services.

Branching Out & Growing Family

Meanwhile, as LCS Facility Group was in its early stages, Daniel Lepore, eldest son was in high school and like his father- working tirelessly for his neighbors landscaping company to get ahead. Quickly learning the business fundamentals and an entrepreneurial spirit like his fathers – LCS Landscapes was created. In 2010, LCS Landscapes and LCS Facility Group merged to become a full-service facility maintenance company servicing the entire Hudson Valley.

Shortly after this, Joseph Jr. and Domenico took interest in the business and began creating their own footprint in the LCS legacy.

Bright Futures Management Group, A Family-Owned Holding Company

Today, Bright Futures Management is the home of a diversified collection of business interests, including facilities and ground maintenance, construction, supply distribution, and real estate development servicing across the country.

The company remains family-owned and operated, led by Joe Lepore, Chairman; Daniel Lepore, President; Joseph Lepore Jr., Vice President, Business Administration and Domenico Lepore, General Manager-LCS Facility Group.

Bright Futures Management Group also continues the long family tradition of philanthropy through community endeavors, specifically funding local sponsorships to assist students pursuing post-secondary education- something Joe Lepore never had the chance to accomplish.

Though, Bright Futures Management Group continues to grow far beyond its origins, it remains driven by the same entrepreneurial spirit and core values of hard work, commitment, and vision. Led by the same family for two decades, it is positioned to continue success for generations to come.
